NOTICE is hereby given that the PORT OF KALAMA will be receiving PROPOSALS at the Port Office, 380 West Marine Drive, Kalama, Washington 98625 until April 18, 2008 at 4:00 PM Pacific Time.
SPECIFICS: Design, Labor, Materials, etc. for the completion of the Wireless Backhaul, Access Control, Video Surveillance, & TWIC Compliance Project.

There is a $10.00 non-refundable fee for each packet. Plan Centers may acquire one bid packet at no cost for reviewing purposes only.
There will be a MANDATORY pre-proposal meeting on Monday, April 7 at 10:00am Pacific Time. Prospective Offerors are required to submit to the Single Point of Contact (listed below) their list of proposed participants on the Intent to Respond Form before 12:00 Noon Pacific Time on Friday, April 4, 2008. All bidders should meet at the Port office located at 380 W. Marine Drive, Kalama, WA. The meeting will consist of a question/answer session followed by visits to each site.
Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the proposed amount. The successful Offeror will be required to furnish a performance bond with surety acceptable to the PORT OF KALAMA, for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. All contractors MUST comply with the prevailing wage and anti-discrimination laws of the State of Washington, and pay all associated fees. The PORT OF KALAMA will comply with the statutory retainage requirements for public works contracts. The PORT OF KALAMA is an equal opportunity employer.
Proposals may NOT be withdrawn or canceled by the bidder for a period of sixty (60) days following the bid opening.
