CIO Forum
The CIO Forum is an annual event that focuses on education and collaboration around timely issues facing the IT community and the CIOs role in an organization specifically. This forum boasts a variety of experts to speak on hot topics and present real world successes/failures that attendees are able to learn from. An event exclusive to CIOs and Senior IT Managers, attendees enjoy the opportunity to collaborate, teach and learn from everyone in attendance.

CIO Roundtable
CIO Roundtable events bring together CIO’s to discuss and collaborate on the critical challenges and needs facing top IT leaders today.  This peer group addresses the challenges CIOs are facing, their need for leadership growth and their need to interact with peers in a safe, trusted and vendor neutral environment.  Topics of these roundtable discussions include pertinent issues for the IT community such as:

  • The value of social media versus the technical risks
  • Finding, developing and retaining top talent
  • Getting a seat at the executive table
  • Proving IT’s strategic value
  • Outsourcing/off-shoring/cloud computing

Cloud Computing Series
The WTIA was pleased to bring to the Puget Sound a comprehensive look at Cloud Computing.  Whether as a way to lower computing costs, test an application, or provide a more scalable solution, Cloud Computing offers a whole range of new opportunities for software developers and IT professionals. Anyone running a web service business or managing an IT enterprise system should understand the opportunities and challenges of this new computing model. Through this multi part series attendees learned both fundamental and advanced concepts of Cloud Computing as seen through the eyes of industry leaders.
