Be the First to Hear the Story
Directly From the Early Pioneers of the Tech Industry

On January 22, 2009, the WTIA will release the results of a year long project to document the history of the Puget Sound technology industry. Working with researchers from Virginia Tech and Seattle University we’ve created the first picture of the foundational companies of our industry - and the companies that were created by their employees.

Free poster of the "Puget Sound Tech Universe" to all attendees!

Meet the Panel:

  • Tom Alberg - Madrona Venture Group
  • Heike Mayer - Virginia Tech
  • Jeremy Jaech - Founder, Aldus, Visio, Trumba
  • Ed Lazowska - UW Computer Science & Engineering
  • Bill McAleer - Voyager Capital

About the Urban Leadership Series
This series was created as a unique forum for the technology community, business owners, corporate and government officials to connect over hot topics and common issues that are happening in the Puget Sound region. The Urban Leadership Series will feature some of today’s most dynamic technology and business leaders, as well as government officials who will share their insights on the present and the future of technology, economic, policy, and environmental trends and issues that we need to be aware of in order to prosper in this technological and global economy that we live in today. Not only will this insight be presented from a leader in the community, but there will also be an opportunity for open discussion on these topics with attendees.
