WSA's 13th Annual Industry Achievement Awards

A major announcement will be taking place at the event this year...this is one night you don't want to miss!

The WSA has added a new award category – the "Technology Leader of Tomorrow" award, which will honor exceptional sixth to eighth grade students.

For the "Technology Leader of Tomorrow" award, the three finalists were selected among students participating in the Technology Access Foundation's (TAF) TechStart program. The winner has been chosen through an online voting system on our Website, and will be nnounced at the event. The three finalists will be receiving a scholarship from the WSA for their technological achievements.

The three finalists are:

Jennifer Chen, eighth grade, Washington Middle School

William Yip, eighth grade, Washington Middle School

Travis Duell, eighth grade, Madison Middle School




Award Categories and Finalist:

Breakthrough Technology of the Year: Next IT, TravellingWave and Zumobi

Business Product of the Year: BioPassword Inc., Tableau Software, Inc. and Formotus, Inc.

Consumer Product or Service of the Year: Picnik, Redfin Corporation and Yapta, Inc.

Service Provider of the Year: Slalom Consulting, GrapeCity, Inc. and Ramp Group

Technology Innovator of the Year: Fred Brown, founder, Next IT; Bryan Mistele, co-founder, president and CEO, INRIX, Inc.; and Brian Roundtree, co-founder and CTO, SNAPin Software

Best Use of Technology in the Government, Non-Profit or Education Sector: eCityGov Alliance, King County District Court and Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence

The 2008 Industry Achievement Awards ceremony will be photographed & videotaped. The photographs and/or videotape may be reproduced and distributed for use by WSA.

By choosing to attend the awards ceremony you are authorizing the use of these photos, videotape and/or sound recording of your image and voice.

If you do not wish to participate, please notify the registration manager at the registration desk when checking in.
