WTIA is hosting the regional competition for Startup World Cup, a global startup competition across 30+ countries. This is the first time Washington has been represented, and we’re excited to put our region on the map!
Join us at the regional pitch competition to hear from the 8 startup finalists, network with others in the community, and help celebrate startups in Washington. The regional winner will go on to compete for a $1M investment from Pegasus Ventures.

Our Finalists

Bluebox is a full-stack company that manufactures & develops a Co-pilot ($400 20 TOPS AI computer that retrofits cars already on the road) & its applications. Co-pilot currently runs Autopilot (currently using an open pilot model), 24/7 LTE-enabled security camera ($10/month), vehicle diagnostics, and an automatic tax-saving app for working drivers. With its AI compute and sensor suite, it can curate diverse datasets to expand Autopilot’s capabilities iteratively.

Parrots Inc. built Polly which is a hardware-agnostic platform using AI and ML to give a real-time voice and telecare for people with neurological disorders. Many people lose the ability to speak and need expensive healthcare due to diseases or injuries. Our solutions greatly increase the speed of communication, control their environments, and provide telecare services to improve patient-centered care and maximize independence.

Loopie seeks to provide innovative ways to solve one of the world’s most neglected day-to-day problems; dirty laundry. By delivering modern mobile solutions, and connecting people who need their laundry done with those who are looking to make passive income from home, Loopie aspires to provide consumers with services, save time, and clean clothes simultaneously. Starting in Seattle in 2018, Loopie is now washing in 6 cities across the nation: Seattle, Portland, Denver, Austin, Chicago, and D.C.

H Robotics is a visionary medical device company that focuses on making the world a healthier place through robotics and software technologies. Our rehabilitation solution, reblessTM, brings the clinical care and quality robot-assisted rehabilitation to the patients with MSK and neurological conditions.

rThreat is a cutting-edge Zero Trust Emulation platform that proactively allows organizations to validate their cyber security tools and teams against real-world cybersecurity threats.

Curie is a machine learning and AI tool that converts 2D photos into interoperable 3D objects. Our product is offered as a metered-service, SaaS-based technology that delivers our 3D objects to customers via an API.

Asha is a fully voice enabled remote care platform that empowers the elderly to age in place, while keeping loved ones informed

Advocat AI accelerates contracting processes and empowers companies to do more with AI guardrails set by in-house legal using AI-guided contract generation, negotiation, and analysis. Advocat’s AI uncovers hidden revenue and risks by operationalizing contracts terms such as renewal date, price bumps, and sanctions exposure.

Judges

David Parker
Dave is a five-time founder and has been part of >15 transactions, as founder, operator, board member, and advisor. He splits his time between funding early-stage companies and helping them exit. He’s a Senior Partner at Fearless.fund. The fund is focused on investing in Women of Color Founders across the US in Consumer and Tech companies. At the other end of the spectrum, he helps founders exit their companies through his work at NextPath Advisors.
His “20%” time (that can sometimes be 80% time) is as a community builder, and speaker he works with accelerators and startup programs worldwide.

Ellie Wu
With over 17 years of experience across hyper-growth SaaS and global scaleups, Ellie brings deep expertise in guiding teams to effectively identify and design an optimized customer experience by measuring and understanding the evolving needs, opportunities, and challenges customers face. In past roles, Ellie drove innovative engagement and enablement programs to connect customer insights with market trends and business opportunities. She’s built customer lifecycle frameworks (implementation, enablement), evolved analytic capabilities (customer success, support), and launched customer loyalty programs (voice of the customer) that became key contributors to company value.
Prior to joining Insight, Ellie led Customer Experience at a cybersecurity startup, was the Senior Director of Customer Experience Transformation at SAP Concur, and led Community Experiences at TEDxSeattle. She is also a Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCXP), a graduate of the Stanford Graduate School of Business LEAD program and serves on the Board of Advisors for Women in Cloud. While she grew up in the Bay Area, Ellie now lives near Seattle, WA, and is a foodie who loves reading, traveling, and being on (or near) the water.

Karin Kidder
Karin Kidder, Partner at First Row PartnersKarin Kidder is a Partner at First Row Partners, a VC firm founded in the innovation hub of the Pacific Northwest. First Row invests in pre-seed technology companies that transform who holds the power of data and technology. In addition to her work with First Row, she has experience across the early-stage investing ecosystem and also invests with E8 (an international, Seattle-based angel group focused on emerging cleantech enterprises). She has also been engaged in the startup community as a core member and syndicate lead with Grubstakes, as an investor at the Seachange Fund, and in multiple rounds of the Seattle Angel Conference. In addition to her investment work, she enjoys mentoring early-stage founders and has partnered with groups such as the MITEF, WTIA, Graham & Walker.
Before committing to investing full-time, Karin was the Vice President of Marketing for Microvi, a green tech company based in the San Francisco Bay area. Karin has an MBA with a Marketing and Entrepreneurship focus from London Business School and has a passion for the arts.

Yuval Neeman
Yuval Neeman is a Managing Director at Trilogy Equity Partners. Trilogy invests in early-stage companies in the Pacific Northwest, both B2B and B2C companies. Yuval has a passion for Enterprise SaaS and DevOps companies and currently serves on the boards of Educative, and Comet.ml, Falkon AI, Spiral, and Ripl, among others.
Prior to joining Trilogy, Yuval spent 16 years at Microsoft, where he led the Developer Division and the creation of Microsoft Visual studio.NET and Microsoft NET Framework. Yuval was on the board of M-Systems (Nasdaq: FLSH, acquired by SanDisk). He has been an investor, advisor, and board member for a number of startups including Soluto (acquired by Asurion), OfficeSync and StreamOnce (both acquired by Jive), and Replay Technologies (acquired by Intel), and RedKix (acquired by Facebook).
