Build a Stronger Community with the Industry’s Biggest Stars at the Galaxy Gala
The brightest stars in the tech industry are coming together next month, and you can get up close and personal with them—no telescope required.
On April 19th at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall, WTIA will be hosting its first annual Galaxy Gala, the largest fundraiser in the history of the non-profit. Attendees will be able to build quality connections, thank member companies, and fund WTIA’s mission via an enchanting evening of laughter, music, and amusing auctions. (If you’ve ever wanted to spend an evening at the Emmys, go on a jazz trip to New Orleans, or have a round of beers with Jeff Wilke, this is the gala for you.) Proceeds from the event, which is open to the public, will raise money for growing tech talent in our region, specifically through supporting FullConTech and Apprenti, the latter of which we’ll discuss in a future post.
FullConTech is our signature event for facilitating cross-sector collaboration. It brings together leaders from the public and private sectors to develop new ways to foster positive, sustainable growth for the technology industry and our community. With a focus on exchanging ideas and taking action, FullConTech sessions encourage participants to challenge traditional ways of thinking and collaborate across industry, education, non-profit, and government to solve problems and make a meaningful impact. FullConTech 2017 will focus on civic collaboration; a theme we at WTIA feel very passionate about because we believe in strengthening our community and building its economy through public-private partnerships.
