What’s an unconference?

An unconference is a participant driven event focused on discussion, ideation, and problem solving. We’ll crowdsource topics from the blockchain community and then work together to identify opportunities, overcome challenges, and create initiatives that promote blockchain development and help position Washington state, the Cascadia region, and the country as a leader in this technology.

What is blockchain?

Blockchain is a permanent, distributed ledger that cannot be altered. It eliminates counterfeiting and piracy and ensures legitimate transfer of ownership of digital assets. Download the CBC blockchain infographic to learn more.

Who should attend?

This event is for all blockchain stakeholders regardless of experience level or expertise. If you’re working in blockchain, for a government agency, a technology company, an investor group, or if you’re just interested in this new emerging technology, then this event is for you.

• 9-9:30 – Opening Remarks and Key Note
• 9:30-10:00 – Flash Talks (Short presentations on blockchain related topics to serve as a primer for afternoon discussions)
• 10:00-12:00 – Breakout Sessions (We’ll start breakout sessions with a short panel before deep diving into topics in small groups. Topics will be crowdsourced by the blockchain community and voted on by participants to determine what we’ll focus on)
