Civic Literacy Book Club: Why We’re Polarized
February 11, 2021 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
FreeSeattle CityClub’s Civic Literacy Book Club is officially underway with our second read, Why We’re Polarized by Ezra Klein. At our virtual meeting, set for 5:30 – 7:00 pm PST on Thursday, February 11th, we’ll discuss our thoughts on the book in small groups, then host a lively panel discussion with diverse speakers ranging from political journalists to policy research directors. The conversation will address many of the themes and issues covered in the book, including the role of the media and how Democrats and Republicans got their liberal and conservative labels.
If you need a copy of Why We’re Polarized, it’s available at Ravenna Third Place Books and Elliott Bay Book Co. in Seattle, or through Amazon. It’s also available through the Seattle Public Library.
