Founder Speaker Series: Eugenio Pace, CEO and co-founder of Auth0
April 20, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Register here to join us for the WTIA Founder Speaker Series hosted by founder, investor, and author, Dave Parker, which will feature well-known, local founders. At these events, we’ll discuss the topics usually overlooked like founder mental health, managing interpersonal relationships, bouncing back from failure, and much more. This time around, Dave will be joined by co-host Emily Carrion, a five-time technology start-up veteran and executive marketing leader experienced in the enterprise, B2B, and SaaS. She serves on the Board of Directors of Seattle University’s Entrepreneurship Center.
Dave and Emily will be conversing with Eugenio Pace, the CEO, and Co-Founder of Auth0. A little about Eugenio below.
Eugenio Pace, CEO, and Co-Founder of Auth0
Pace co-founded Auth0 in early 2013 with CTO and “brother-in-arms” Matias Woloski while living 7,000 miles apart from each other. Since then, Pace has played an instrumental role in growing Auth0 into a leading identity management company loved by developers and trusted by global enterprises. With more than 2,000 enterprise customers spanning 70 countries and securing tens of millions of logins per day, Auth0 is a trusted global brand that is relied upon for making identity simple and protecting the data of its customers and their users. Auth0 was acquired by Okta in May 2021 and will remain an independent product unit, with Pace continuing as its CEO.
Pace has spent his entire professional career easing the developer journey by creating industry-standard tools, content, and services for cloud-based computing, mobility, and identity. Prior to Auth0, he spent more than a decade at Microsoft, leading product management and engineering teams that provided architecture guidance and services that increased developer joy. He has also co-authored several books on cloud computing and identity management.
Pace holds a master’s degree in computer science and a degree in electrical engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires. He loves traveling and has visited more than 35 countries for business and pleasure. He currently lives in Redmond, Washington with his wife, two sons, and their labrador retriever. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, rowing, riding bikes, spending time with his family, restoring his 1970 Karmann Ghia, writing his blog, and reading history and philosophy.
