Workshop: Interviewing with Impact

Are you asking candidates what they like to do outside of work? The last book they read? If so, you may be surprised to learn that these questions can catapult you into some risky territory. Let’s leverage time spent with candidates to explore not only their ability to do the job, but also whether they can be successful in our organization. Great interviewers gain insights into the candidate’s priorities, competencies and values while providing a positive brand experience. In this 2-hour live and interactive virtual workshop, we’ll deconstruct traditional interviewing approaches to build a solid foundation for making the best hiring decisions. Participants will develop interview questions that draw out critical information, learn ways to add efficiencies to the interview process, and discuss how to navigate legal challenges that can elevate risk. We’ll position the interview as a brand experience where each participant plays an important role. Participants engage in polls, discussions, and small group challenges that help them connect what they learn to their own organization’s practices.
