WTIA DEI Workshop: Supporting Employee Engagement Through Employee Resource Groups

WTIA presents an enlightening conversation about developing and supporting employee resource groups and creating a sustainable diversity strategy to be led by Michael Tom, J.D., principal of Northwest Workplace Investigations, and former Director of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity at Oregon Health & Science University.

In the workshop, Mike will share best practices and lessons learned from years of developing and supporting employee resource groups, as well as strategies to hold leadership accountable to diversity initiatives.

To acknowledge Asian American Heritage Month in May, Mike will also share his reflections on the surge of anti-Asian violence. He identifies as mixed-race Asian American, with roots in Hawaii, Oregon and Colorado. Mike will offer advice on how best to provide support for Asian American Pacific Islander employees during these challenging times.
