When did you pitch at First Look Forum? Spring 2013
How has your business grown (financially & otherwise) since you presented at First Look Forum? We have done $120k in sales YTD, when we presented we had 0! We’re now available at Walgreens.com, Drugstore.com, Amazon and many other e-tailers. We completed our first A round of funding. We have lots of filed patents and a lab facility in MN.
What is the most valuable lesson you learned from participating in First Look Forum? Persistence pays. Some of the advisors/mentors that I met at FLF are now integral parts of the company and continue to offer great advice and guidance. Also don’t ever discount the advice that someone gives you, it can and will come up again down the road–better to address it now! You can never practice your pitch too much!
What advice would you give to future First Look Forum applicants? Do it! Make sure to keep in touch/keep updating mentors/advisors and everyone involved. Practice your pitch! Stay for the whole time and network with anyone and everyone.
