FullConTech: Meet the Speakers

October is rapidly approaching, and more than just autumn leaves are swirling in the air. New ideas and projects are, too. It’s an electric time of year for the tech industry, and we plan on upping the voltage even higher on October 3rd at FullConTech 2016.  

 

Here are four of the speakers who will be helping us do exactly that:

Katie Bardaro is the lead economist and vice president of analytics for PayScale. Katie has provided analysis on compensation data and trends for print/online and broadcast media including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Bloomberg Businessweek, U.S. News & World Report, The Economist, and CNBC, among others. Katie’s publishing credits include: “Differences in the College Enrollment Decision Across Race,” (The American Economist) and “The Changing Relation Between the Canadian and U.S. Yield Curves,” (Journal of International Money and Finance).

Rebecca Clements serves as the Vice President of Human Resources at Moz, a software company located in Seattle that builds products for marketers. Rebecca started her career as a human resources professional in the healthcare field. In the late 1990s, she caught the startup bug, and lead HR for several technology startups, including online digital photography publisher PhotoDisc and Varolii, a SAAS company that specializes in automated customer communications. Just before Moz, she took a detour from the software world and spent nearly two years leading HR at the Allen Institute for Brain Science, a non-profit funded by Paul Allen.

Ed Lazowska is the Bill & Melinda Gates Chair in Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington, and a member of the WTIA Board of Directors. In addition to his teaching and research, Ed is active in regional and national technology policy issues including education, research, economic development, and diversity.

Vanessa Pegueros is currently VP and CISO for DocuSign, where she leads the company in providing an industry-leading security program to its customers. Vanessa formally worked with US Bank as the Senior VP, responsible for Enterprise Information Security and a team of over 120 people. She also was the CISO at Expedia and has held senior-level security roles with Washington Mutual, Cingular, and AT&T Wireless. She has held numerous other positions within the wireless arena including Network Planning, Architecture & Engineering, Technical Sales, and Product Development.
