WRF Capital, a reserve pool of funds that Washington Research Foundation (WRF) invests in local early-stage companies, has backed 117 startups since 1996. We invest in Washington-based life science/healthcare/enabling technologies at the pre-seed, seed, and Series A stages. Of specific interest are companies that are commercializing intellectual property and/or led by teams from a Washington research institution. Fund returns support the Foundation’s investment and grantmaking programs.
