A new HQ for Qorus Software—and a warm welcome from WTIA

When one of the global leaders in enhanced document productivity, Qorus Software, decided to move its headquarters to Seattle, they turned to the WTIA to help smooth the way.

Qorus was founded in 2008 and has always had a strong presence in the United States. In late 2015, the company’s CEO, Ray Meiring, made the move to Seattle in order to be closer to Microsoft, a key client and strategic partner to Qorus Software.

“We work closely with Microsoft to enhance document productivity across the Office platform. Moving our headquarters to Seattle is key to looking after and building this relationship, as we are in discussions with a number Microsoft teams every day,” Ray says.

Much of the move co-ordination was managed by Michelle Revsbech, Senior VP of Alliances and part of Qorus Software’s global leadership team. Michelle learned about WTIA from Qorus’ healthcare insurance broker.

Crucial help and support from WTIA

Michelle arranged a meeting with WTIA’s Nick Ellingson and Toni Colman of Member Services to explore membership benefits and support.

Qorus signed up for the WTIA’s Health Plan and used the WTIA job board to recruit an office administrator. “Nick and Toni also introduced me to local technology recruiters, who have been essential as we’ve begun to grow our US team.”

“It’s fantastic that we were able to secure excellent health insurance coverage for our employees and find an outstanding new recruit in a short space of time and with minimal hassle. The support we continually receive from WTIA is a huge benefit,” explains Michelle.

“Another benefit of being part of such a great network is that we were introduced to some innovative workspaces, and even a local tax organization, Clark Nuber, that focus on global technology companies. We have just set up our new office, and look forward to getting more involved in the WTIA network.”
