Re-Thinking “The Future of Work” for Employees

At this year’s FullConTech, we will be exploring a variety of exciting topics related to re-envisioning the ways that companies, governments, and community-based organizations engage their communities. One of the most important relationships in our world today is the one between employers and workers, both traditional full-time employees and everyone else. 

As digital transformation continues to grow and evolve across all industries, companies depend on freelancers, contractors, and consultants, or “alternative workers.” The nature of how we work is changing faster than the policies built to protect workers. Many people want the flexibility and freedom that alternative work options afford. And many employers leverage an alternative workforce for a variety of reasons like cost, business needs, and culture. This has forced many companies to reevaluate how they incentivize, train, and retain their workforce. At FullConTech 2019, we’ll look at how employers create policies and culture that accommodate both traditional full-time employees and an alternative workforce. 

During the afternoon at FullConTech, we’ll be exploring this topic further during our Future of Work session. The future of work is a big conversation that includes topics from gig economy work to portable benefits to creating a culture of equity and inclusion.
