Simply Measured Wins the First IT Sports League Softball Championship
Congratulations to Simply Measured, this year’s IT softball champions!
On July 28th, Simply Measured beat TINYPulse/Avvo 15-9 at Interbay Fields to win the first softball championship in the IT Sports League. Simply Measaured executed an unstoppable defense, keeping TINYPulse/Avvo from scoring for three out of seven innings. Third baseman Jade Furubayashi was a standout, as she made play after play to kill any chance of her opponents’ comeback.
Simply Measured finished the season 7-1, losing only to Whitepages. Whitepages beat WTIA 7-0 in an earlier game to capture third place. Eight IT companies were part of the league’s first season: Simply Measured, TINYPulse, Avvo, Whitepages, WTIA, Tableau Software, Quantum, and Market Leader. Next year the league will expand to include teams from the Bellevue/Eastside area, which will bring the total league team number to eight.
The next sport for the IT Sports League is dodgeball, which starts September 13. All IT companies are encouraged to join. More information can be found here: IT Sports League Dodgeball.
