DevMatch
Hi, I’m Alan, and my company is DevMatch. The problem we’re solving is that companies building or maintaining software miss out on exceptional talent because the software interview practices are ineffective and costly. Our online platform lets you create and run short simulations of real work designed for engineering managers at small and medium businesses. We make money by selling a monthly access to our platform to these companies, and our team is the right team because we’ve spent many years working as software engineers and implementing computer science education platforms. I need help with sales and fundraising.

Our product acts as a central hub, creating a knowledge ecosystem that connects all internal documents and technology stacks, enabling seamless knowledge transfer and self paced learning. It is designed for our target customer of hotels and multi-unit restaurants. We make money by simplifying the process of answering up to 80% of questions that new hires or current staff may have, all without requiring human intervention. This reduces training expenses and expedites onboarding. For the remaining queries, it directs users to the right person within the organization, leading to payroll savings and consistent service delivery. Our team is the right team because Cyrus and I have been co-founders for over 21 years, with 5 startups and 3 successful exits. For 5 years, we have operated a software firm, collaborating closely with professionals in customer-centric sectors, including hospitality, dining, and transportation. Our product, Bond Chats, is a Facetime-like platform that we are building from the ground up to facilitate the needs of the Deaf community. It is designed for our target customer of 70K US families who have a Deaf child and hearing family members. With our first product, Bond Chats, we make money by charging $0/hour from the families and receiving $317/hour from the ~$1.5B/year Telecom Relay Service fund, which has been established to sponsor services for the Deaf community ($$ is from an annual tax on US Telecom providers like AT&T). The $317/hour translates to $135M/year once we reach 15% market share with 1 hour/week average usage per family. Later, with Bond on-the-go, we make money by charging businesses (e.g. Drive-thrus, pharmacies) for in-store assistance on demand. We have an early product (www.bondasl.com) that customers seem to enjoy and come back to, and I need help in a few different areas: I. Funding – ideally looking to raise $2.5M Seed in order to scale our offers significantly (looking to reach roughly the same amount in revenues before raising Series A), II. Introductions – constantly looking to meet more people from the Deaf community or the Deaf “ecosystem” (organization, teachers of, volunteers, interpreters, etc.), III. Introductions – angels/philanthropists who might have special interest in supporting the Deaf community. IV. Introduction – Bill Gates (/someone close to him). His article suggests that he might be interested to learn about Bond Communications.
