Event Recap: Video Games Through the Years Party
We brought things back old school and partnered with WTIA member company, Blucora, for a fun and interactive Video Games Through the Years Party at their awesome space in Bellevue.

Old school arcade games like Pac-Man, Galaga, and Skee-Ball were available for attendees to play for raffle tickets which they could redeem for prizes at the prize table. After finding a tube TV, we were able to get Duck Hunt working (which apparently doesn’t work with LED TV’s – perfect reason to keep those old clunkers!).
The biggest hit of the night was definitely the CEO Rockband Competition that took place with
CEOs from local technology companies. Chris Chung, CEO of Motiga (on guitar) and Bill Ruckelshaus, CEO of Blucora (on drums) battled it out against Derrick Morton, CEO ofFlowPlay (on the mic) and Michael Schutzler, CEO of WTIA (on the guitar). In the end, Derrick and Michael proved to be victorious by doubling the score of Chris and Bill. Karaoke has paid off!
It was a night to remember with good “gamer” food, awesome prizes donated byMonoprice, PopCap Games, and First Tech Credit Union and 100+ people reminiscing and celebrating the way games used to be played. Photos.
