“Over the weekend, Everett-based Fortive Corp. completed a planned spinout from Washington, D.C.-based Danaher (NYSE: DHR) to form a standalone company that oversees a number of industrial technology and professional instrumentation businesses and retail/commercial petroleum businesses.
