Intel Addresses Diversity Issues, Increases Hiring Of Women and Minority Groups

“At senior positions, Intel now hires 33% women at least, according to Intel CEO, Brian Krzanich. At the Push Tech Summit in San Francisco, Mr. Krzanich confirmed that 41% of the total hires at Intel since January consisted of individuals from minority groups. This figure shows an increase from the last year’s 30%. The reason to disclose these figures at the conference was specifically because of the theme of the conference that revolved around diversity in the tech industry. The current workforce of Intel now totals to approximately 106,000 employees and the phenomenon of diverse hiring has taken place across all departments including engineering, human resource, and finance.”

“Comcast will build a new call center in the Spokane area that brings 675 jobs to the region, the company announced Tuesday… It’s one of three new customer-service centers Comcast will open this year. The others are in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Tucson, Arizona. Together, the three facilities will create more than 2,000 jobs.”
