Executive Roundtable Breakfast

Event Description: Executive Roundtables are exclusive events aimed at connecting leaders in the technology community. The event series provides a secure environment for executives to share business related problems and receive advice and best practices from their industry counterparts. This is an invite-only event also includes a complimentary breakfast and additional networking time for attendees. NDA agreements are signed by all attendees prior to event. This event is an invite-only event. If you are interested in attending, please email Callie Chadwell at callie@washingtontechnology.org.

FullConTech

Event Description: FullConTech is a first-of-its kind industry conference that brings together leaders of industry, government, education, and community organizations to take on the biggest challenges facing the future of the industry in our state. FullConTech occurs twice annually touching talent related topics at one conference and a controversial issue at the other. During these two one-day conferences, you will have a chance to shape the future of the technology industry in Washington State by participating in evidence based conversations about challenges and proposing solutions we can address as a team. The outcomes of those discussions helps shape WTIA’s priority activities for the coming year.

Giving Gala

Event Description: Spend a night doing business with the best in Washington while also supporting the tech community. A packed silent auction and a live celebrity auction featuring Washington’s brightest stars will power the evening. All the funds raised through the live auction will be put towards WTIA’s programs, including Apprenti- our nationwide registered tech apprenticeship program focused on giving minorities, women, and veterans jobs in tech. It’s the perfect opportunity to build relationships with peers, win business, and be introduced to tech companies and influential IT leaders.

Golf

Event Description: WTIA’s Annual Golf Open is the original technology-focused golf event in the Puget Sound region, bringing together executives from Washington’s leading technology companies. In addition to 18 holes of golf, the event includes numerous skill competitions and concludes with an awards happy hour. Please contact Nick Ellingson at nick@washingtontechnology.org!

Tech Crawl

Event Description: WTIA’s Tech Crawl brings together students and job seekers, as well as members of the community, to hit the pavement and explore participating hiring companies. These events encourage companies to open their doors to the public and give attendees a candid look at how their team and office operates. These events give attendees the unique opportunity to get face time with hiring managers and employees from companies that they’re interested in- before their resumes go through the HR approval process. This unique opportunity gives job seekers a way to make a powerful, off paper, first impression. This is a 21 and over event.

Training Camp & Draft Day

Event Description: Draft Day represents an effort to help solve the biggest challenge facing the tech industry: the talent gap. The program helps expand the tech talent pool, increases accessibility for new entrants to the industry, and supports diversity. Unlike job fairs, Draft Day pre-selects candidates who are nominated by their instructors or supervisors and provides ‘blind’ interviews with recruiters, eliminating bias around background and educational pedigrees.

Holiday Fundraiser

Event Description: Bring the year to a close with a celebration of the WTIA community and all that we’ve accomplished together. Enjoy mingling with the notable figures that make up the WTIA membership as well as gourmet food and tasty libations. This event is meant to be a celebration of the good work we’ve accomplished- so kick back and enjoy the holiday spirits! In addition, all money raised at this event will go towards funding another year of effective programming, engaging events, and collaborative change through the WTIA.
