WTIA Health Trust Expands
The WTIA Health Trust, in March of 2013 launched a new initiative to offer competitively priced, fully-insured medical insurance benefits underwritten by Regence BlueShield to eligible member technology companies with 51-99 employees.
Historically the WTIA Health Trust has offered exclusive and affordable association plan pricing to member companies with 50 or fewer employees. We are very excited to announce that the Trust has authorized its health care carrier Regence BlueShield, to extend Trust association health plan pricing to its eligible members in the 51-99 employee market segment.
Regence has been a long-time supporter and advocate for the technology industry and maintains a strong commitment to serving the needs of WTIA. In response to the WTIA Health Trust’s initiative to embrace this new market segment, Regence has committed dedicated resources that are exclusively available to Washington technology member companies with 2-99 employees.
The Trust’s decision is a critical step in addressing the challenges facing technology companies as we move into a new era of employee benefits resulting from Federal Affordable Care Act (ACA) legislation. The WTIA Health Trust remains well-positioned to continue to offer comprehensive and affordable bona fide Association Health Plan coverage to its eligible technology industry members now and beyond FY 2014 when most ACA requirements become effective.
Stay tuned for more news in the months ahead concerning alternatives for technology companies with over 100 employees.
