What is an Association Health Plan?

An Association Health Plan (AHP) lets small businesses band together through an association to purchase health coverage as a group. Instead of shopping for insurance alone, your company joins a collective with real buying power, gaining access to the same quality plans and negotiated rates that larger employers get.

WTIA serves as the plan sponsor for Washington's tech sector. By pooling member companies into one large group, we negotiate directly with major carriers for lower premiums, richer benefits, and more plan choices than what's available to small businesses buying on their own.

The result: your two-person startup or your 150-person company gets coverage that rivals what the biggest employers in the state offer.

Who qualifies for WTIA health benefits?

WTIA health benefits are available to technology companies in Washington state with two or more employees. Your company must be a current WTIA member in good standing.

Not a member yet? Joining WTIA gives you access to health benefits along with policy advocacy, talent programs, and the largest tech network in the state. Become a member to get started, or request a quote to see what plans and rates look like for your team.
